Marjorie Lane, Founder and President, began The Lane Group in 1994 after a successful career in Hospitality Sales & Marketing and International Tourism. Ms. Lane's senior management experience includes Omni Hotels, Wyndham Hotels, Meridien Hotels and Resort, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, The Watergate Hotel and Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts. Ms. Lane is a graduate of Tufts University and a long-time member of Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International.Ms. Lane is a past president of the Potomac Chapter of Meeting Professionals International. Robert Fischer - Additional experise in business turnaround situations and franchise development is provided by Robert Fischer, who holds an MBA from Columbia University. After a successful career with Digital Equipment Corporation, Mr. Fischer started Information Bridge Technologies, a software development company specializing in medical records management. In 2001 Mr. Fischer worked with Goodwill Industries of Greater Washington, DC on a successful financial turnaround and re-positioning for the organization. In 2006 Mr. Fischer opened the first Bruster's Real Ice Cream franchise in the national capital area. The business has continued to grow annually and has been ranked the number 1 store in the group of over 275 Bruster's stores. test
